Daniel Caballero
Daniel Vincent Caballero is a multidisciplinary artist who was born, raised, and lives in Los Angeles. Caballero excavates the private and the personal to implement transparency and expand the scope of intimacy. Through performance, Caballero engages the body and its absence as a site of conflict and provocation, where social access is privileged and acute vulnerability is facilitated. He has exhibited at New Wight Gallery, Advocate & Gochis Gallery, as well as Plaza de la Cultura, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He holds a B.A. in Fine Arts from UCLA and was awarded the 2013 Resnick Scholarship. He most recently participated as an artist in residence at Guapamacátaro: Art & Ecology in Michoácan, Mexico. In 2017, Daniel Caballero will be a featured artist in UCLA’s day-in-the-life series.
